Drew Hart was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up, Drew was fueled by his desire to compete and play sports. His passion for it prompted the development of his leadership skills on and off of the field.
Following high school, lacking a sense of purpose, Drew trudged a painful road of substance abuse, addiction, trauma, and ultimately homelessness. After moving to Los Angeles in 2013, Drew was able to find a new path and purpose in recovery. After finding a solid foundation in recovery, Drew realized that all of his experiences, while previously sources of shame, were now his greatest assets. These adversities allow Drew to connect with those still suffering with addiction and mental health hardships with a balance of compassion and healthy discipline. Realizing that he had found a renewed purpose and spirit in being able to help others who were newer in recovery, Drew received his education in addiction counseling from Sober College and completed all coursework with the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC).
Drew began his treatment career as a counselor at “Rise Recovery Community”, and was subsequently promoted to Program Director. As a key member of a great team, he was able to help Rise blossom into one of the most respected multi-facility sober housing communities in Los Angeles. Drew is excellent in strategically working with each of the components within unique family and implementing customized plans and boundaries that foster long-term success for everyone involved. Drew has first-hand experience overcoming a family dynamic of his own which at times was dominated by addiction and was able to further cultivate his skill set while performing interventions with “Peace of Mind Inc”. These experiences culminated in Drew joining forces with his brother Patrick to help individuals and families in need of customized care.
“It has been amazing to team up with my brother to share our experiences, passion, and love for mental health and substance abuse recovery.”
